Stories are built from more than narrative.
Beneath every film, series, or experience lies an emotional structure, a set of ideas, tensions, relationships, and atmospheres that shape how a world is felt before it is understood.
My work focuses on translating those invisible qualities into visual form through atmosphere, symbolism, composition, rhythm, and visual language. The goal is not simply to create images, but to establish coherence, helping projects discover how they should feel before deciding how they should look.
I was born and raised in Wales and studied at the University of South Wales (formerly the Glamorgan Centre of Art & Design), graduating in 2007 with a First-Class BA (Hons) in Animation.
After beginning my career as a Motion Design Director at Bait Studio, I went on to work internationally across Sydney and London, collaborating with studios including the BBC, Electric Theatre Collective, Nexus Studios, Netflix, Nathan Prince Studio, and Passion Pictures.
Over the last fifteen years, that experience has evolved into a practice centred on visual development, conceptual direction, and title design, helping directors and creative teams define the emotional language of a project before production begins.
At its core, the practice is one of world building. Whether for a feature film, television series, installation, or live experience, I develop the visual systems, atmosphere, symbolism, and internal logic that allow an audience to intuitively believe in a world before the story fully unfolds.
Through TCTS, I create title concepts, visual language frameworks, atmosphere systems, and visual imagery that establish tone, coherence, and emotional character across film, television, and live experiences.
My work sits at the intersection of story, tone, and image. I am particularly interested in how atmosphere, symbolism, composition, rhythm, and spatial thinking shape the way an audience experiences a world.
Whether developing a title sequence, visual language system, atmosphere study, or conceptual framework, my focus remains the same: helping projects find a coherent visual language that feels emotionally precise, distinctive, and memorable.
In an era of generative speed, I continue to value coherence, restraint, and human rhythm.
I am always open to conversations with directors, studios, production companies, agencies, and creative collaborators interested in concept-led visual development, world building, and cinematic storytelling.
